Hunter Flights

Idaho’s Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness is the largest roadless area in the continental US. Roaming the 2.4 million acres of clear rivers, deep canyons, and rugged mountains are an abundance of wildlife, namely elk, mule deer, sheep, whitetail deer, moose, bear and mountain goats.

Big game hunting in the Frank Church Wilderness is unmatched. The healthy population of trophy animals is maintainable due to the area’s remoteness. No vehicle access is permitted, with the exception of 18 remote airstrips which were preserved when the wilderness was designated by Congress in 1980.

Hunter’s Special

Salmon Air offers access to this world-class hunting with our seasonal Hunter's Special which is $435.00 per person and is valid September 1st through November 30th. Includes:

Round-trip air charter from McCall or Salmon, Idaho, to any of the hunting destinations listed below.
150 lbs gear per person. All gear over 150 pounds per person is charged .43 per additional pound. There is no limit on the amount of gear you can take.
Transportation of game meat to McCall or Salmon
For trips ending in McCall we will also store your game meat in our approved meat cooler until your party returns to McCall. No need to worry about spoiled meat while the rest of your group is still hunting.

We welcome self-guided hunters as well as those who opt for guided hunts through backcountry ranches and licensed outfitters. The Hunter’s Special does not apply to airstrips NOT listed above. Regular charter rates apply for hunting trips into any other destination. Contact Salmon Air for pricing.
